“The sons of the foreigner who join themselves to the Lord, I will bring and make them joyful in My house of prayer. My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:6-7).  Jesus made these words His own in Mark 11:17.

We have asked Mission Carolina to lead the Prayer task force for the 2012 Ethnic Ministries Summit.

Man prayingMission Carolina is an interdenominational, intergenerational, multi-ethnic group which has met semimonthly in Spartanburg for 15 yrs to pray for revival, spiritual awakening, Kingdom advance & church unity here and beyond. Since 3-26-09, they have been the Prayer task force for the 2012 Ethnic Ministries Summit.

Our official Prayer Launch was 1-6-11, when about 70 people prayer walked the Summit venue, Evangel Cathedral. Jesus spoke of praying in “two’s & three’s” (Mt.18:19-20), so we had 46 prayer triplets. Each had one EAN member and 2 local intercessors, with 26 trio’s in the first period, reshuffled into 26 different ones the 2nd period. Between these, many shared what they sensed the Spirit was saying to the church (Rev.2:7,11,17, 29; 3:6,13,22). Some spoke of great things God will do through this Summit, which is already bringing the Body together here (John 17:20-26).

The Summit’s 3 evening sessions are multi-ethnic worship services, free and open to the public. The venue seats 5,000, so we are praying for at least 3,000, to represent the believers from all over the world in Jerusalem in Acts 2:5-11, 41-42. One reason for the 3,000 believers in Acts 2 was the 120 praying in one accord for an extended period in Acts 1:13-15, so we need at least 120 intercessors.
